More Christmas Ideas - The Nintendo Wii ( $199 + $25 Gift Card )

This is a pretty good deal for the Nintendo Wii ! So if you've been looking and looking for one you know they've been around $249 and have held that price steady. Well I noticed that Kmart and Amazon just dropped the price to $199! Now, normally I would say take your pick....however right now Amazon is offering a $25 gift card if you purchase it from them. So, in essence that's bringing the price down to $174. So, if I was you I'd go ahead and get one from Amazon if it's on your kids' list. Hurry, because the gift card deal expires on 10/3 !

Walmart Prepares for Christmas and Offers 100 Toys for $10

So it seems as though due to the current economy, more than 70% of people will start their Christmas shopping before Halloween. Well, those researchers are preaching the choir here because I've been picking up stuff for people since the beginning of the year. Nevertheless, it's still a good idea to go ahead and start getting that taken care of. If you buy a little here and a little there at great low prices, you won't have to even think about using a credit card or miss huge amounts of money. There's no need for you to go broke over Christmas!

Well, Walmart got the idea. I do love my Walmart but I often can't stand the crowds. God bless online ordering and ship to store. At least then I don't have to wait in long lines! So what is Walmart doing you ask? They are offering 100 toys for $10. Oh I know you were stoked to hear that. While, the Xbox 360 or Wii isn't on the list....there are several toys that are sure to deliever a smile to your child's face and a sigh of relief to your wallet!

What's on the $10 list. Under the expanded $10 program, Wal-Mart will offer a "newly released toys, top brands and classic toys that shoppers seek out each holiday season."

Some of the toys are being introduced at $10, while others are being reduced by up to 50%, the company said.

The following is a partial list of the brands being offered:

  • New Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Action Figures
  • Barbie Cut and Style Rapunzel
  • Games such as Connect 4, Battleship, Monopoly, Trouble and Jenga
  • Vtech Explore and Learn Helicopter
  • Tonka Light and Sound vehicle assortment (firetruck, dumptruck, etc.)
  • New Littlest Pet Shop Online Animals (virtual pet) or Littlest Pet Shop Playpack sets
  • Clean-Up Pup Barbie Play Set and Mermaid Splash & Style Barbie
  • New Play-Doh Burger Builder Set
  • New Garanimals line Bath Boat (with squirter) and ABC 50 wood blocks kit
  • Hot Wheels Trick Track
  • LEGO Bionicle Legends set
  • New Nerf-N-Force Sword
  • My Little Pony So Soft Newborn

HALLS Refresh Review

HALLS has just introduced a new kind of freshness to its product line. It’s the new HALLS Refresh! The new HALLS Refresh offers a great tasting, cool & long-lasting freshness that you can enjoy anytime!

HALLS Refresh comes in three great flavors: Refreshing Mint, Juicy Strawberry, and Tropical Wave. Each one of these flavors are enriched with an advanced moisture action formula. You can purchase HALLS Refresh in 9-piece sticks and 20-count resealable bags. Have a diabetic or someone who has to monitor their sugar in your family? No worries! HALLS Refresh is sugar free!

Here recently, I was sent the new HALLS Refresh to try. Talk about yummy! Both the Juicy Strawberry and Tropical Wave I sampled were both fruity and refreshing! I have to say, these are really great if you're at work. You know what I'm talking about, you're so bored that you think you could eat something. Popping in one of these really does help! I really did enjoy these!

Check out your local store to get the new HALLS Refresh!

Zhu Zhu Pets Review and Giveaway

MomSelect gave me an oppurntuniy to review the new Zhu Zhu Pets . I received the entire Zhu Zhu Pets Playset!. Wow, was it overwhelming! I mean, there was sooo much! Nevertheless, it was cool as all get out!
I think we can all remember back to our childhood when we wanted our first pet. Our parents didn't want a big messy dog so we thought it'd be ingenious to compromise and get a hamster. Well, I don't know if you're finding yourself talking like your parents now or not. "Pets are a big responsibility" "You won't clean up after it"...ect. Well, the dilemma has been solved. Zhu Zhu Pets are the next best thing to giving your child a cuddly hamster to play with. I love the fact that it is all the fun without the mess! It's even better than when they die you just replace a battery. That's a whole lot better than having to make another trip to the pet store!

Zhu Zhu Pets are fun, interactive hamsters that talk, move and even navigate their way around their own habitats. Yup, just like a real hamster. These playsets are huge with a ton of add-ons to construct an ever-evolving hamster world! Oh, and the hamsters are super cute too! Check out the Zhu Zhu Pets website to see a video on how they work!

The only drawback is that Zhu Zhu Pets are recommended for 4 years plus. This is of course due to putting it together and taking it apart. My son is 3 and loves playing with it but due to it's size it cannot just stay put together all the time. So guess who gets to put it together? I don't mind so much because sadly, I love playing with them too! Just something to keep in mind with the younger kids. All in all they're great, I love them, and would highly recommend them!

Check out the website to see the video of how they work.

Now you have a chance to get one for your child! One lucky reader will win a hamster and slide to start off your set!!!

Dear McDonald's....

Dear McDonald's,

I am seriously upset with the service from this location. While this McDonald's was being built, my family and I were looking forward to having one so close (within a mile of the house). I would be able to pick up dinner and bring it home still hot. However, since this McDonald's has become operational it has only been a disappointment. Not one time have I ever been that my order was 100% right. Usually though, I'm able to catch it before I leave (i.e something missing like fries). However on 9/19 my 3 year old son was sick so I thought a treat would make him feel better. So I sent my husband to get dinner including a Happy Meal for my son. Well my husband informed me that it took 3 tries to get our entire order from the window. Of course what he was able to get from the window with no problem was a bunch of attitude. When he got home my son realized that the Sprite that came with the Happy Meal was a water and came with a girl's toy rather than a boy's as requested. There was nothing "happy" about his meal. Obviously, it wasn't worth the gas to return it but that made me throw in the towel with McDonald's. In the current times we live in, not only is value important but customer service is too. I thought that was the grounds that McDonald's was founded on? I don't think I will be coming back to McDonald's and I will be sharing my experience with neighbors and on my blog www.copperbrickroad.com . I would suggest though, that changes be made for other customers.

Thank you,
Rebecca Sprouse

I tried emailing McDonald's via their form on their website but I keep getting this error:

We regret to inform you that an error has occured while processing your request. The Contact Us team has been notified of your error and will look into a resolution.

Is it too much to ask for good service?

Feel free to share your thoughts/experiences! I'd love to read them!

Kids Eating Right!

I'm sure you probably have the same problem I do ....your child is a picky eater. Most of the time they're picky to eat all the wrong things! At 3 it's hard to take broccoli over some fun packaged sweet tasting treat...so it's an ongoing battle to get my son to eat healthy.

I was so excited to hear that Safeway and Warner Bros. teamed up to create Eating Right Kids. Eating Right Kids includes just about everything your child needs such as cereals, meals, snacks, and drinks that are healthy and great for children to eat. The Eating Right Kids line is a great compromise between parent and child. Your children will be getting the nutrition they need while they enjoy the taste. Oh, and they have fun Looney Tunes characters on the packaging too!

This new line features more than 60 items in 18 categories including breakfast foods, produce, portable meals, dairy, snacks, beverages, and frozen entrees. These products can all be purchased in over 1700 Safeway locations throughout the US and Canada. So you can conveniently give your child the nutrition they need at a great price!

Thanks to Team Mom at Child's Play PR, Warner Brothers, and Safeway, we got to try out their new Eating Right Kids line. They sent us this Eating Right Kids lunch bag full of pasta, juice, fruit, and a chewy bar.

Simply put, we loved it! My son loved looking at the Looney Tunes characters while he inhaled the food. I was able to get in to taste some of the food without losing a limb. I was surprised, the food was actually quite good! I loved the fact that my son was getting the good stuff without even knowing it! Battle won!

If you want an easy, low cost way for your child to get the nutrition they need without taking the fun out of it, you should definitely check out the Eating Right Kids line at Safeway! Save your sanity!
