I know right? Well I was livid. I finally snapped. I got up Brody and we wasted the gas to drive back to the store. McDonald's told me if I ever had problems again to talk to a manager. Oh yes, that manager was going to hear it. So I get there and I'm walking from my car inside. The manager is following me in from what I can only assume was a smoke break outside. I had my bag and receipt in my hand yet she didn't stop me or talk to me. I spoke to the cashier and told them my dilemma. He then went back where I'd seen the manager walk to. I heard the cashier say "....but she's really mad" but that's all I could make out. The cashier came back and told me the manager was busy. However, the cashier took it upon himself to apologize, replace my meal, and slipped me a free extra value meal coupon. Why was that the cashier's responsibility? Why wouldn't the manager talk to me about a real issue. I got a freakin' raw burger. What would've happened if I had gotten sick? Are lawsuits the only way to get things resolved these days?
Corporate McDonald's told me they take all complaints seriously. Due to the fact that they are a franchise business they were going to pass along my complaint to the store owner. I'm not convienced that they're taking this seriously. I mean, this does tarnish the name regardless if it's a franchise or not. I'm not holding my breath. This is my second encounter with corporate McDonald's and nothing has been resolved yet.
McDonald's I took this from your website:
We place the customer experience at the core of all we do
Our customers are the reason for our existence. We demonstrate our appreciation by providing them with high quality food and superior service, in a clean, welcoming environment, at a great value. Our goal is QSC&V for each and every customer, each and every time.
Um....not quite feeling that.

I got an undercooked burger at wendys once and i showed the cashier and she got the manager to talk to the cooks to make sure there wasn't any others going out undercooked and they replaced my burger with a fully cooked one. Luckily i was eating inside. Had i gotten all the way home I cant even imagine how mad i was.
As for mcdonalds My bf ordered his daugher a chicken nugget kids meal and ended up with their chicken strips instead. Not a bad deal since he paid for the kids meal except the fact the DD HATES mcdonalds chicken strips. By the time he had realized they gave the wrong thing he had gotten home and it was late at night and he didnt feel like going back to complain.
So.....I think you should really report both incidents to your local health inspection department, surely you're not the only one that's having this problem with this particular mcdonald's right??!
Bleah.
Thank you for sharing this. I hope someone... namely McDonald's, takes notice.
That is beyond disgusting... Yes I would think calling the local health department should be able to help?
Our local McDonalds have signs featuring "hiring days" where everyone who applies gets a job until they decide to quit or else screw up so bad they get fired.
When I was a teenager I worked at McDonalds (and they even had "hiring days" back then). I could easily see how lousy employees (and management) can result in undercooked food.
We threw several rows of frozen burgers onto a flat frying grill. Then we pulled down a lever that lowered the top of the grill so that the burgers would fry quickly on both sides.
Normal burgers cooked for 30 secs if I remember right. Then we stacked them up where they would wait to be used. We microwaved every sandwich before sending it out so it would be warm (and seem fresh) again.
Many people that go to "hiring days" just to work a few days to get a single quick paycheck. These people do not care about their job and may even fry burgers without setting the 30 sec. timer before pulling the lever.
I cannot stand McDonalds. They pay low wages which results in the lowest quality employees. Then they charge premium prices for their inferior food so the franchise can spend TONS of money on advertising. Finally, they market their crap towards children.
I suggest reporting them, but don't get your hopes up that it will do any good. It will take a lot of time and phone calls, and McDonalds is a powerful institution.
That would have made me furious! Especially after getting all the way home! There is a Taco Bell by our house and every time we went there, they would ALWAYS mess up our order. We always took it to go and did not find out until we got home. We completely stopped going there.
I have an award waiting for you at http://flyinggigglesandlollipops.blogspot.com/2009/10/one-lovely-blog-award.html
Please do not feel pressured to post it, I know how busy us Mamas are, but I just wanted to let you know, you have a Lovely Blog!
Holy cranoly! That is one undercooked burger. I would've been livid too. Seems customer service and satisfaction have gone to the wayside at a lot of places.
And you still continue to eat there?
No, we will not be visiting this location anymore. It's one thing to get your order wrong every time you go (like I mentioned in my previous McDonald's post) but now getting raw meat ended it for us.
Just blogged on my blog today about McDonald's drive thru! My hubby and kid ordered 7 hamburgers- got 'em home- not a one of them had meat on them! Talk about mad men! Hubby took them back and they, of course, apologized..........and gave them 7 complete burgers!
