Unfortunately, this list is isolated to PC users (Sorry Macs). I came across a very long list of free open sourced programs for the Windows platform. These programs are free to use and don't require any licensing.
The list covers programs from chat clients to mp3 managing software to podcasting and even graphics editing plus much more! The biggest name on this list is Open Office. If you've never heard of it, Open Office's series of programs are similar to Microsoft Office. So, if you don't have Microsoft Office, you don't have to fret when someone sends you a Word file. Just download this Open Office and it will open the Word file for you.
This is a great list and fits just about anything you may need. You may see the list here
Labels: free, frugal, open access, ramblings, software
